Coaching services

Personal coaching for senior managers is a proven and invaluable method of guiding and supporting people, enabling them to change, grow, adapt and improve to meet the challenges which existing and new roles and situations bring.

Coaching is independent and focuses on the individual, but ultimately will benefit not just them, but their team, organisation and, of course, customers. It’s about developing leadership and management skills, including:

  • Personal style, ethos and direction
  • Image management
  • Acknowledging strengths, and recognising areas for improvement
  • Taking timely actions
  • Positive thinking
  • Language skills.

Our coaches are handpicked, and sessions are specifically tailored to meet the requirements of the individual. Each session would usually last around two hours, with four sessions per person recommended.

Clients of HQN’s coaching programme include the Executive Leadership Team at Sheffield Homes, the Chief Executive and senior staff at the The Gateshead Housing Company, and senior staff at Newark and Sherwood Homes and at Tristar Homes. We have also recently completed a coaching programme for participants in the leadership development programme of The Forum – a leadership and policy network for black and Asian housing professionals.

“I would strongly recommend HQN coaching to any organisation wanting to develop a high performing management team. HQN worked with our corporate management team to develop our leadership skills, and coaching was key to this. I'm certain that the coaching element significantly benefited the individuals involved, as well as having a positive cross – organisational impact. I certainly benefited from individual coaching and it has further improved my leadership skills.”

Bill Fullen, Chief Executive, The Gateshead Housing Company
